What You Need to Know About Spray on Tans |

An episode of Friends introduced me to a new style of fake tan
application called spray on tans. In this episode, Ross kept getting
sprayed on one side so that he was white on one and deep bronze on the
other.
I used to think that a fake tan can only be applied by rubbing
lotions into the skin and waiting for a darker shade to develop. I
found out that there were quite a few places that do this type of tan
application in my area, when I looked in my local phone book.
I also found out that there are two ways to get spray on tans in a salon. You can go into a booth and a machine will first spray one side of your body and then it will spray the other side of your body after you turned around. A real person can also give you spray on tans, although I can’t imagine anybody brave enough to do that.
It might be very hard to stand almost nude or completely nude in front of a stranger so they can spray a tan on you, if you are conscious about your body. However, this might be a walk in the park for you if you get a bikini wax on a regular basis.
Some stores also sell kits that allow you to get spray on tans at home. However, this might be tricky if you have to do it yourself. You see, you are going to miss a lot of skin if you attempt to do it yourself, unless you are an expert contortionist.
Spray on tans is much easier to apply than by applying with lotion, but you are still going to have problems when attempting it yourself. It may be better to you to go to a salon if you don’t have someone at home you trust to help you.
Make sure you take care of your skin before you attempt to do spray on tans at home. You will look botchy if the patches of dry skin soak up some of the tan. You should scrub and moisturize your skin in the days leading up to applying spray on tans. You should also take good care of your skin after the tan has been applied.
